A Quiet Place Part II is a 2020 American horror film and the sequel to 2018's A Quiet Place, following the family from the first film as they continue to navigate and survive in a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by blind aliens with an acute sense of hearing. The film was written, produced, and directed by John Krasinski for Paramount Pictures. Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe reprise their roles from the first film, while Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou join the cast; Krasinski returns from the first film in a new flashback sequence. The sequel was produced on a budget of $55–61 million, over three times the original's $17 million.

The film had its world premiere in New York City on March 8, 2020, and after over a year of postponements due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was theatrically released in the United States on May 28, 2021. It became available to stream on Paramount+ 45 days after its theatrical debut. The film set several box office records, including the biggest opening weekend of the COVID-19 pandemic, and has grossed shy of $295 million worldwide, making it the sixth highest-grossing film of 2021. It received positive reviews from critics, who praised Krasinski’s direction, the expansion of the setting, and the performances, particularly that of Simmonds and Murphy’s.

First off for those of you that haven’t seen Part 1 be sure and watch BEFORE you watch Part 2. If you don’t you will as lost as last years Easter Eggs! because this truly is a “PART 2” film.

For those of you that have seen part 1 ….. get ready for a whole lot more nerve shredding intensity that will have you on the edge of your seat. This is the kind of horror film that was made for theaters with dolby surround sound that can scare the s**t out of you, but then again that’s what you want from a horror film right?

It’s definitely a worthy Sequel.....and if you enjoyed the first one then you'll certainly enjoy this one. Many sequels flop and this tends to turn people off from watching them. This film doesn't fall into that trap. It starts almost exactly where it left off…..then simply and effectively expands on the original.

As with the 1st one I loved this one also (watch the trailer above) and it left me wanting more at the end. Who knows, maybe there'll be a third one (fingers crossed)!
