Never underestimate the determination and drive of the human race. When I think of todays Arctic explorers with the tools and equipment they have to aid them in there explorations…..watching these individuals back in 1909 was hair-raising and nail bitting!
This true story movie is a great survival movie. Landscape and cinematography really place you inside the film and give you the feeling that you are there. Acting is well done. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jamie Lannister, GoT’s) deserves an award for his performance.
This film is very moving and you’ll find yourself wondering how these individuals manage to endure the trials and tribulations of isolation, loneliness and physical challenges of being stranded in such a frozen and barren place for so long.
If you are a historian get ready to be transported back in time and witnessing this real life event in real time.
