Blade Runner 2049

Harrison Ford is back this time with Ryan Gosling to surprisingly complete the original Blade Runner movie from 1982 into the 21st century (28 years later). For me I have been a Blade Runner fan forever. Loved the first movie and have watched it a 1/2 dozen times since.
In 2049, with the powerful Tyrell Corporation under the control of the visionary scientist Niander Wallace, the bio-engineered replicants, NEXUS-9, seem to have integrated seamlessly into society. Purposed to eradicate the outdated rebellious NEXUS models, LAPD's officer K--a new generation of Blade Runners--stumbles upon a dangerous and well-hidden secret that could easily undermine an already frail stability in the world. As K puts the pieces together, he will soon realise that the key element that binds everything together in this mystery is the retired Blade Runner, Rick Deckard, who has either disappeared or gone underground. But is K allowed to unearth the truth?
This was a well done movie with tense anticipation in a story line that you don't see coming. The movie runs 2hrs and 44 minutes, but its so spell bounding that the time flies by. I was engrossed in this movie even more than the original and was thoroughly entertained.
I STRONGLY recommend that you watch the first version from '82 or you will be lost and not be able to comprehend/experience the intent and outcome of this newer version. If you liked Blade Runner don't miss this one!
