Book Club

Movie 🎥 Review: “Book Club”. Critics gave it a 57% the users a 61%.

Diane (Diane Keaton) is recently widowed after 40 years of marriage, Vivian (Jane Fonda) enjoys her men with no strings attached, Sharon (Candice Bergen) is still working through her decades-old divorce, and Carol's (Mary Steenburgen) marriage is in a slump after 35 years. The lives of these four lifelong friends are turned upside down after reading the infamous "50 Shades of Grey," catapulting them into a series of outrageous life choices.

Aside from the four main cast members listed above, others worthy of mentioning are Don Johnson, Andy Garcia, Craig T. Nelson, Richard Dryfuss and Alicia Silverstone.

Many movie ratings are for "Mature Audiences" however this movie focuses on the over 65 crowd in a sex comedy no less - no spoiler alert but the theater was filled with 60 to 75 year olds with a few 80 year olds sprinkled in for good measure.

For me this movie was not my "cup of tea".........but one thing's for sure the four leading ladies still have it.  It was a funny and heart warming movie and very interesting to watch it play out.

With the percentage ratings from the critics and the users.......I would advise you to gather your friends, crack open a few bottles of wine and watch On-Demand, or when it's released to Red Box.
