Crazy Rich Asians was released in the United States on August 15, 2018, by Warner Bros. Pictures. It is the first film by a major Hollywood studio to feature a majority Asian cast in a modern setting since The Joy Luck Club in 1993.  The film has grossed over $93 million worldwide and received positive reviews from critics, who praised the performances and the production design. A sequel is currently in development.

This film is a romantic comedy-drama that seems to have what it takes to surpassed all expectations both in the reviews and with audiences at home. The films 93% percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, not only won the box office in its opening weekend with $26 million, it then managed a repeat on its second weekend with minimal audience drop off, pulling in $25 million and dropping only 5.7 percent from week to week. (Most drops are in the 40 percent range.) Now, facing a encore for the Labor Day weekend.

For me this was a chick flick with a touch of teary eyed scenes that brings you to a cultural realization that was overcome by an individual with a great heart and the desire to believe that true love will conquer all!

I must say it was entertaining and the scenery (Singapore) was spectacular (check out the trailer above).  There are some funny moments, but not as many as they have been advertising about.  All in all we enjoyed it, however guys you might want to think twice before going!.
