It was released in the United States on 27 April 2018 by Bleecker Street, and is scheduled to be released in the United Kingdom on November 30 2018 by Curzon Artificial Eye. The film received positive reviews, with critics praising the performances of Weisz, McAdams and Nivola, as well as Lelio's direction.

This is an extraordinarily exquisite film. From the script to the execution it is a complex, daring, bold, and vulnerable portrait of the inside of the human soul.

It’s a real life raw portrayal of being caught up between ones religious beliefs and a deep seeded love. It’s such a powerful film that there are many silent moments that you will experience the feeling of these women without words……the mark of true acting!!

FYI - this is the latest movie from director Sebastian Lelio, who just months ago won the Best Foreign Language Movie Oscar for "A Fantastic Woman" and before that directed the excellent "Gloria".

We just happen to stumble upon this movie while perusing through NetFlix looking for a movie to watch. After reading the brief writeup and watching the trailer we jumped on it and not sorry that we did. It’s one of those “quality” movies that you are glad you saw because of the great story line and superb acting.
