Hitch
Movie 🎥 Review: “Hitch”. Critics gave it a 68% the users an 78%. Rated: PG 13.
Dating coach Alex "Hitch" Hitchens (Will Smith) mentors a bumbling client, Albert (Kevin James), who hopes to win the heart of the glamorous Allegra Cole (Amber Valletta). While Albert makes progress, Hitchens faces his own romantic setbacks when proven techniques fail to work on Sara Melas (Eva Mendes).
"Hitch" (date doctor) coaches other men in the art of wooing women, with a focus on long-term relationships. He is very successful at what he does. While coaching one of his clients, Albert Brennaman, who is smitten with a client of his investment firm, Allegra Cole, Hitch finds himself falling for Sara Melas. Sara is a gossip columnist and workaholic. Hitch finds it difficult to initiate a dialogue with Sara, finding that none of his romantic methods is working on her. Throughout the entire process, he keeps his career secret, claiming to be a generic "consultant."
Everybody knows and likes Will Smith. His name is synonymous with summer blockbusters. It could be argued that the actor breaks new ground here by lending his talents to a romantic comedy (released in February 2005) instead of another action romp, and the film does have its moments. No spoiler alert here but it is a chick-flick and has great comedic scenes all throughout the movie.
INTERESTING FACT: As all of you know I am an avid movie buff. So ironically for me personally this movie was the driving force to call Mercy two days after Valentines Day 2005. So you could say that this was the beginning of something wonderful.
