The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2018, and had its Australian premiere at the Adelaide Film Festival on October 10, 2018. It is based on the 2009 documentary Surviving Mumbai about the Mumbai attacks in 2008 at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in India. It was theatrically released in Australia on March 14, 2019 and in the United States on March 22, 2019.

First off I need you to understand that this movie is gripping and depicts realistically the gruesome events of the terrible attack on Mumbai by islamic terrorists in 2008. The attacks, for some reason they didn't get much coverage in the US.

In the US we only see the active shooter and terrorists attacks AFTER the fact and never do they reenact what goes on when the shooting starts. This film is fought with a very detailed reenactment that could cause nightmarish memories if you’re of the faint-of-heart.

I was very much engaged throughout the entire film from beginning to end. It was something new to me to hear about, so it kept my interest throughout.

The acting and directing is good and a great way to keep the memory of such a tragic days and pay respect to the victims, but also spread the story across the world.

Please keep in mind that this movie will leave your mind and body in a terrible state, reminding you of the worst possible human side that exists in our world today.
