Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez is a 2020 American true crime documentary series about convicted murderer and former professional American football player Aaron Hernandez. The three-part documentary explores his conviction for the murder of Odin Lloyd, other murder cases in which he was a suspect, and the factors in his life that shaped his behavior. It premiered on Netflix on January 15, 2020.

For everything you thought you knew about this individual, this was an extremely detailed story covering all aspects to his life. One that will leave you to have to make your own decisions regarding this unfortunate situation.

We all are aware that Aaron Hernandez (1989-2017) was convicted for killing Odin Lloyd. This documentary shows the convoluted elements that contributed to his conviction in the murder. It covers his brain damage from his athletic career, including being an intelligent, troubled and sensitive boy in a disrupted family.

It brings to the table his inability to cope with closeted homosexuality in a homophobic sports world and his own heteronormative community. Also addresses coping with living a life of success, fame, discipline along with anger, guns, violence, and questionable people.

I really learned a lot over the 3 episodes. It’s a compellingly put together puzzle of reasons and facts. It was really great to watch.
