Alexander: The Making of a God

First off: this mini-series is NOT for everyone. If you are a history buff and always wondered what made Alexander GREAT? This is for you.

The life of Alexander the Great and his burning desire to conquer the world.

The obvious question here is…is this accurate?, no but then again not everything is these days.

However you’ll find several professors narrating throughout the episodes and I'd tend to believe them more than haters giving this a 1 out of 10 rating.

There are sporadic interesting scenes about the excavations being done in the current city of Alexandria in search for his tomb.

They do a great job explaining how Alexander decided to take on his arch nemesis in Persia, along with maps to explain the strategies he had in doing so……very interesting!

There are many intense battle scenes and this series does a great job of tying the battlegrounds in todays known countries, which was very interesting to see!

For any history buff this is a good production with some eye opening issues from 330 BC that manifest themselves into todays world.

Alexander was King of Macedon and widely considered to be one of history's greatest and most successful military commanders. By the age of 30 he had created one of the largest empires in history.
