Critics gave it a 95% the users an 92%.

A financial adviser drags his family from Chicago to the Missouri Ozarks, where he must launder money to appease a drug boss.

Ozark is an American crime drama web television series created by Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams for Netflix and produced by Media Rights Capital. The series stars Jason Bateman who also serves as a director and executive producer for the series. The first season of ten episodes was released on July 21, 2017, the second season of ten episodes was released on August 31, 2018 and the series was renewed for a third season of ten episodes on October 10, 2018, which was released on March 27, 2020.

Ozark has received positive reviews from critics, with particular praise for its tone, directing, and acting. The series has received 14 Primetime Emmy Award nominations including Outstanding Drama Series, with Bateman winning for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series and Julia Garner for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, both in 2019. In addition, Bateman has received two Golden Globe Award nominations for Best Actor – Television Series Drama.

If you’re not familiar with the Ozark series you are in for a treat, start back at seasons 1 & 2 then see season 3. If you are a fan this series is every bit as amazing as the the previous 2. With Rotten Tomato ratings of 92% that says it all.

Every episode of every season builds with an intensity that grips and won’t let go. I truly hope that they continue for many seasons to come. Season 3 does a great job of tying critical information from the previous 2 seasons. Season 3 absolutely does not disappoint.

It’s “Breaking Bad” for money laundering with a great cast. This series has the same high calibre of writing but also almost every character has an awesome depth to them, and a darkness, a definite darkness. Thoroughly enjoyed all three series and can't wait for more.

Netflix has not confirmed the next season of Ozark, and is unlikely to announce another season for at least a month. However, Ozark Season 4 could be coming next year according to its makers, who say they have already planned out another two seasons of the show starring Jason Bateman and Laura Linney……fingers crossed!
