Somewhere in Queens

Looking for a heart warming family film…..look no more! This is about as real life you can get in a film. Kudos to Ray on his first directing job.

Somewhere in Queens finds director/co-writer/star Ray Romano squarely in his comfort zone, with thoroughly entertaining results.

If you read the reviews for this film, most of them touch on how funny, heart warming and well acted this movie is.

I can’t agree more, however the characters, family chemistry, pacing and timing of the dialogue is over the top. The real part is found in the family secrets and how they are brought to the surface, demonstrating the pain and hurtfulness associated with them.

As heart rendering painful it is to watch at times this movie really shines when it shows the strength of the family overcoming and growing from it.

I don’t want to give anything away, however I do recommend you take the time to watch this. You will come away with a “feel good” outcome to remember!

If you’re still wondering - just look at the Critics and Audience rating are…….they say it all - we found it on HBO Ondemand and Prime
