Peppermint is an action thriller which tells the story of young mother Riley North (Jennifer Garner) who awakens from a coma after her husband and daughter are killed in a brutal attack on the family. When the system frustratingly shields the murderers from justice, Riley sets out to transform herself from citizen to urban guerilla. Channeling her frustration into personal motivation, she spends years in hiding honing her mind, body and spirit to become an unstoppable force -- eluding the underworld, the LAPD and the FBI -- as she methodically delivers her personal brand of justice.

With the critics rating of 18% Peppermint wastes strong work from Jennifer Garner on a dreary vigilante revenge story that lacks unique twists or thrills. It's been compared to the movie "Death Wish" on steroids.  Not sure why Garner took this film she deserves to be in better films.

Garner plays essentially two characters cut from the same person.  The film is a classic role for Garner, who doles out her vigilante justice with effortless charm.......She makes "Terminator" look tame and is a female equal to Ben Affleck in the movie "The Accountant". Her shooting/killing skills are over the top.

I enjoyed the film for what is worth, however I can see where the critics are coming from.  You got to give it to the users they as well as I loved it.  

In the imortal words of "Kahn" in Star Trek......"Revenge is a Dish best served cold" and Riley North definitely delivers!!
