Netflix TV Series 🎥 Review: “Ratched”.

Ratched is a suspenseful drama series that tells the origin story of asylum nurse Mildred Ratched. In 1947, Mildred arrives in Northern California to seek employment at a leading psychiatric hospital where new and unsettling experiments have begun on the human mind. On a clandestine mission, Mildred presents herself as the perfect image of what a dedicated nurse should be, but the wheels are always turning and as she begins to infiltrate the mental health care system and those within it, Mildred's stylish exterior belies a growing darkness that has long been smoldering within, revealing that true monsters are made, not born.

If you are familiar with the movie “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” then the name Nurse Ratched conjures up wild insane memories……..Ratched does not disappoint. Be aware this series is about as DARK as you can get…….just know you have been forewarned!

If you are a fans of American Horror Story you were probably clued in by the trailer that this show is along similar lines and watching this series, with its similar themes of cruelty and sadism in disguise of psychiatric treatment. The events on screen come at you before you can even think of what’s coming next. The sets, locations and costumes are amazing. Sarah Paulson was amazing as always.

Binged all 8 episodes in a day…..couldn’t stop watching to see what was happening next. Looking forward to Season 2.
