Shooter
Netflix/USA Original TV Series Review: "Shooter". Just finished binging 2 seasons (18 episodes) for this show on Netflix. The users rated this an IMDb rating of 7.6/10. Rated: R for strong graphic violence and language.
"Shooter" Is a conspiracy thriller that follows the journey of Bob Lee Swagger (fictional character), a highly-decorated veteran who is coaxed back into action to prevent a plot to kill the President.
This is a drama based on the best-selling Bob Lee Swagger novel by Stephen Hunter, Point of Impact, and the 2007 Paramount film starring Mark Wahlberg. In this USA Network original TV series Ryan Phillippe (“Secrets and Lies”) is a producer on the project and will star as Bob Lee Swagger. Omar Epps (“House”) plays Isaac Johnson, a former Marine and former commanding officer of Swagger. Now a Secret Service Agent, he solicits Swagger’s expertise for a clandestine operation that has disastrous results.
“Shooter is an uncompromising exploration of the definition and evolution of a hero,” said Jackie de Crinis, Executive Vice President, Original Programming, USA Network. “The conspiracy and drama that unfolded throughout the first hour had us completely immersed, and we look forward to more.”
"Shooter" explores so much more detail then that of the the 2007 movie staring Mark Wahlberg who played Bob Lee Swagger in this iconic role. The incredible group of actors bring the vision to the next level and without a doubt takes the audiences on an heart pounding roller coaster of a journey. It was 18 hours of intensity that keep me glued to the tv.
Be advised this is a true testosterone-macho television show, nothing more, nothing less. At times you will be a little bored, then it picks up to "Warp Factor 5" speed. This is my kind of movie due to my interest in guns and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait for season 3 to start - which by the way premiers on USA channel June 21, 2018 10/9ct. Along with Netflix you can also see seasons 1 & 2 on Amazon Prime, iTunes & XBOX ONE
