The story of a deadly competition in which 456 people try to win ₩45.6billion ($39 million) in a series of life-or-death children’s games, the class parable is as devastating to watch as it is addicting.
Squid Game (Korean: 오징어게임; RR: Ojingeo Geim) is a South Korean survival drama streaming television series written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk. It was released worldwide on September 17, 2021 by Netflix.
I seriously need to say up front this this series is NOT for EVERYONE however if you decide to watch this current No1 rated Netflix series you will be blown away with what you are about to see. It truly is Uncomfortably Genius!
This is series from South Korea and dubbed in english (easy to follow) and is going to take you to places in your mind you just can’t believe. It’s one of the best shows I have seen in a long long time.
This series will definitely play with your emotions as you will be rooting for some characters, feel sorry for others, then start to question their morality, motivations and choices. And that's just what the show is all about. The ethical choices we make being selfish, or just trying to survive one more day in a cruel cruel world.
I was hooked and binged all episodes in a 9 hour stretch………If you can handle the brutality you need to see this very unusual, mysteriously and addicting S1 series. S2 is in the works already - no release date yet!
