Some reviews said that Matt Damon was boring. The truth of the matter is that he did an amazing, on point portrayal of the character Bill Baker. If you’re coming to watch the typical Damon you are in for a big surprise!. His actions of a typical southwestern father are performed in a perfectly believable manner.
The storyline is based on a real life story. You see a father's love for his daughter and the choices he makes to redeem her. This film will definitely bring the human out in you!
Pace of the film in the beginning seemed off, however it does a great job of setting up the film before it takes off in directions you just don’t see coming. This may not be for everyone, but I assure you if you stick with it you will come away with some serious soul searching.
Worth the time spent to watch. Keep in mind this film was from the director of “Spotlight” if you saw that movie you know what I’m talking about………..I enjoyed it very much and glad I watched it.
