Sully
Movie 🎥 Review: The critics rated it 85% and users rated it 85%.
Watched the movie "Sully" again for the 3rd time. To me its one of those movies when I see it on demand as I'm perusing thru to watch something I find myself watching it again.
The movie is a true story the emergency landing in New York's Hudson River after US Airways Flight 1549 strikes a flock of geese on January 15, 2009. The quick action of Capt. Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger (Tom Hanks) resulted in the saving of 155 lives that were on board.
Clint Eastwood (a phenomenal movie director) directed this amazing story which not only shows in great detail the incident as it occurs, but takes you thru the pains taking process of the investigation with the NTSB and the FAA.
To me personally for the past 27 years of my 50 year work career I spent teaching, performing and reviewing root cause analysis, including human performance analysis. A large portion of the movie brought back memories of hundreds of incidents (of all kinds including fatalities) that I was involved with. I can truly say that this was a great lure for me as to why I love this movie so much.
Sully makes solid use of typically superlative work from its star and director to deliver a quietly stirring tribute to an everyday hero.
