The Predator is a 2018 American science fiction action film directed by Shane Black and written by Black and Fred Dekker. It is the fourth installment in the Preditor film series (the sixth counting the two Alien Vs. Predator films), following Predator (1987), Predator 2 (1990) and Predators (2010). Black had a supporting role in the original film, while John Davis returns as producer from the first three installments.

Talks of a new Predator installment began in June 2014, with Black being confirmed as writer and director; much of the cast signed on between October 2016 and January 2017. Filming took place in British Columbia from February to June 2017.

The Predator premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6, 2018 and was released in the United States on September 14, 2018, by 20th Century Fox in IMAX and Dolby Cinema vas well as standard formats. As you can see by the ratings above the film received mixed reviews from critics.

I’ve been a Predator fan since the series started - seen every film that was made and have enjoyed them all. Hence I wanted to see this one.

This film brings to bare rhyme, reason and rational why the Predators visit our planet and why they’ve been hunting humans. It’s all explained in the film and rapidly becomes apparent that we are now facing a “SUPER” Predator.

Theres a lot of humor injected in the film and makes for an interesting movie. it also has much more information about the Predators and easily sets up for more installments to follow.

As a fan I enjoyed this movie thoroughly . I saw it in the “BIG D” theater at the Majestic and it made the price of admission worth while. It’s jam packed with action and the battles are 100 times better than any of the previous Predator movies.
