Movie 🎥 Review: “The Way Back”.

A widowed, former basketball all-star lost family foundation in a struggle with addiction and attempts to comeback by becoming the coach of a disparate, ethnically mixed high school basketball team at his alma mater.

The Way Back (also known as Finding the Way Back in some markets) is a 2020 American sports drama film directed by Gavin O'Connor and written by Brad Ingelsby. The film was theatrically released in the United States on March 6, 2020, by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film has received positive reviews from critics, with Affleck's performance receiving praise.

I am a Ben Affleck fan and his performance was extremely strong in this story of discovery and renewal. The story line was largely predictable and I was prepared for that, however the acting was excellent across the board and shortly after the movie begun I was hooked.

The movie was so well done that you find yourself focusing on the character being played, instead of Affleck playing a character. If you love basketball this movie is definitely for you…..its a great feel good sport movie to say the least. It’s also as story about the trials and tribulations of every day life so it may hit home for some viewers.

This movie is definitely worth the time and money to see it at the theater.
