Unhinged is a 2020 American action thriller film directed by Derrick Borte, from a screenplay by Carl Ellsworth. It was theatrically released by Solstice Studios in Germany on July 16, 2020, and in the United States on August 21, 2020. The film was notable for being the first wide theatrical release in several months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has grossed $41 million worldwide. It received mixed reviews from critics, who praised Crowe's performance but felt the film did not take full advantage of its premise.

First off I was planning on seeing this at the theater considering it was showing just as the theaters were reopening from COVID shutdowns. As luck would have it I came across it for rent on Amazon Prime.

I need for you to know right up front this is one brutal thriller with an intense performance from Russel Crowe. The tension in this film is over the top and driven immensely by the sound track as it escalates.

For me it was an entertaining action-thriller that will will raise your BP and keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. It’s the kind of film that is best enjoyed in an IMAX/Dolby Surround Sound theater.

The road rage subject matter is something you don’t see everyday at the theaters. It does succeed at offering an entertaining film with a non-stop intense pace. The movie even offers some food for thought without ever being pretentious. I may never using my car horn again!!…..watch the trailer 😳🤪
