New York sports radio personality Craig Carton's secret gambling addiction, financed by an illicit ticket-broking business, brings his career to a halt when he is arrested by FBI agents and charged with conspiracy, wire fraud and securities fraud.

Wild Card: The Downfall of a Radio Loudmouth Craig Harris Carton (born January 31, 1969) is an American former radio personality best known as the co-host of the Boomer (Esiason) and Carton sports radio program on WFAN (AM) in New York City from 2007 to 2017. His tenure at the radio station ended after he was arrested in September 2017 on charges of securities fraud and wire fraud. Carton was convicted of all charges. He was sentenced to three and a half years in prison and three years' probation, and was ordered to pay $4.8 million in restitution.

For all you sports radio fans this documentary was a “peel back the curtain and expose all” for Craig Carton’s rise and fall of his career. They do an amazing job and leave no stone unturned. They focus primarily on Carton detailing everything from the moment he got the radio show to well after.

They discuss briefly his home life as a kid that brought about serious anxiety issues and his unchecked ego contributing to his down fall.

I enjoyed this very much because once again I get to fill in the blanks from back in the day when the radio show just disappeared and you are left with the details why.

p.s. On March 29, 2018, amid his legal battles, Carton launched his new program, "Carton and Friends" with Michelle Serpico and Corey Parsons the FNTSY Sports Network, an online broadcaster.
