Based on the graphic novel of the same name, Nick Sax is a corrupt, intoxicated, ex-cop turned hit man who is adrift in a twilight world of casual murder, soulless sex, and betrayal. After a hit goes wrong, Nick finds a bullet in his side, the cops and the mob on his tail, and a monstrous killer on the loose. But his world is about to be changed forever by a tiny, imaginary, blue-winged horse with a relentlessly positive attitude named Happy. On their journey, they must contend with a laundry list of enemies including angry mobsters, ex-mistresses, ex-wives, and one very bad Santa.

Happy! is an American live-action/adult animated black comedy/action-drama television series based on the four-issue comic book series of the same name created by writer Grant Morrison and artist Darick Robertson, with Brian Taylor serving as director for a majority of the episodes. The series premiered on Syfy on December 6, 2017, receiving mostly positive reviews. On January 29, 2018, it was announced that Syfy had renewed the series for a second season, which premiered on March 27, 2019. On June 4, 2019, the series was cancelled by Syfy after two seasons.

OK let me say right off the bat that this is the most insane off-the-wall ridiculously dark and gruesome film I’ve seen in a long time. If you love the dark ambience of “Max Payne” with the humor of “Roger Rabbit and Drop Dead Fred , then you will love it. I found it brilliantly clever and entertaining. But don't watch it with the kids or your local pastor as it's “Saw” level of violence with “Monster Ball” sex scenes. Everything you want in a series……LOL

This series requires a significant suspension of disbelief, moral vigor, social acceptance and probably every other trait that makes society civilized. If you can do that, then strap yourself in for a Happy! little ride on the insanity train.

p.s. I’m heading for season 2 as we speak. Check out the trailer attached to get an idea of the insanity you’re about to behold!
