If you think back there’s been only one trilogy in the Marvel films that has been excellent from start to finish. Sometimes someone comes along and knocks them off the pedestal. "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" has definitely done that. James Gunn (writer/director) took his time creating connections and depth to each of the individual story-arcs. You will learn way more about the characters back stories that will bring the volume 3 to a fitting place in the movie industry.
Giving all the team their well deserved fair share of screen time, even if it was a very long movie, so be it!. Quill and Gamora and Drax are as good as ever. Rockets very extended backstory is the mainspring of the plot.
This version focuses on the emotional aspect of the characters more than in the past. I was extremely please to see that and made the experience even more enjoyable, not to mention the insane action throughout the film.
I highly recommend it. It provides an interesting look at life, love, and the importance of friendship.
Still reeling from the loss of Gamora, Peter Quill must rally his team to defend the universe and protect one of their own. If the mission is not completely successful, it could possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.
