FINCH

Had no idea what I was in for with this movie. I’m always drawn to post-apocalyptic films and this one did not disappoint. However the twist here is its a Tom Hanks film and a wonderful story to share with your children. I found myself laughing out loud immediately in the part of the film when the robot come to life. His lines are classic!

FYI this is streaming on Apple TV+. If you don’t have access you won’t be able to watch.

This brilliant technician can make 2 impressive robots but not a simple power generator to backup the only functioning wind turbine.

First off you’re going to find this movie a little slow passed in the very beginning. Hanks does what he does best in his films, however the robot (sounding like Borat) makes the film hands down.

For me this was truly a great family movie with no violence, sex, bad language or drugs. Just a straight forward story of simple human values for everyone in the family to enjoy, even the dog.

This film is filled with life lessons, relationships between Finch and the robot including the dog. Along with the suspenseful scenes it's an interesting ride that had me laughing and crying to the end.

p.s. Keep a box of tissues close by, some of you might need it, I know I did (if you can believe that)

On a post-apocalyptic Earth, a robot, built to protect the life of his creator's beloved dog learns about life, love, friendship and what it means to be human.
