Solo: A Star Wars Movie
Movie 🎥 Review: “Solo: A Star Wars Movie”. Critics gave it a 70% the users a 61%. Rated PG-13 for sequences of sci-fi action/violence.
Young Han Solo finds adventure when he joins a gang of galactic smugglers, including a 196-year-old Wookie named Chewbacca. Indebted to the gangster Dryden Vos, the crew devises a daring plan to travel to the mining planet Kessel to steal a batch of valuable coaxium. In need of a fast ship, Solo meets Lando Calrissian, the owner of the perfect vessel for the dangerous mission -- the Millennium Falcon!
This Ron Howard directed film was a galant effort to acquaint you with how Han Solo came to be, how he meets Chewbacca, Lando Clarissian and eventually becomes the owner of the infamous Millennium Falcon. Although I enjoyed watching the back story it wasn't as thrilling at the Star War adventures from yesteryear. It is an entertaining film and as you can see by the Users 61% it lacks something short of a great recommendation.
The cast was made of the likes of Alden Ehrenreich (Han Solo), Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke (Khaleesi from GoT's), Donald Glover (played Lando Calrissian), Thandie Newton (WestWorld), Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca) and Paul Bettany.
Make no mistake I enjoyed this movie very much - as I have every Star Wars movie that has ever played on the big screen. It was very interesting looking back in time to see Han as a young man and how he rises to the cause to fight in the "Rebellion"
Worth the price to see it at the movie. We did the IMAX and was glad that we did.
