Spenser Confidential is a 2020 American action comedy film directed by Peter Berg and with a screenplay by Sean O'Keefe and Brian Helgeland. It is very loosely based on the novel Wonderland by Ace Atkins, and uses the names of characters created by Robert B. Parker. This is the fifth collaboration between Wahlberg and Berg after Lone Survivor, Deepwater Horizon, Patriots Day, and Mile 22. The film was released on March 6, 2020, by Netflix.

If you are looking for an Oscar winner, don’t bother (note the ratings and iMDB). However if you looking for a fun crime drama, this is for you. There's not a moment in this movie where you have to think hard other than a fun flick. It’s not dark or depressing like many crime drama's. Wasn’t even boring. Story line moves right along and hits with a hard punch! Fun characters (I’ve liked Mark Wahlberg in everything I’ve seen him in), with great people acting them, obviously. Alan Arkin for god's sake. Plot was never slow. Setting is always engaging.
