Amazon Prime Original Series 🎥 Review: “The Man in the High Castle - (Seasons 1 & 2)". Critics gave it a 95% the users an 89%. Rated: TV-MA with 2 seasons of 10 episodes 1hr each and an IMDb of 8.1/10. Primary Cast: Alexa Davalos, Luke Kleintank, Rupert Evans, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Rufus Sewell and Joel de la Fuente. There were 55 cast members in total spanning the 20 episodes in seasons 1 & 2.

This series, loosely based Philip K. Dick's novel of the same name, takes a look at what the world might look like had the outcome of World War II turned out differently. In this dystopian scenario, the Axis powers won the war, leading to the United States being divided into three parts, an area controlled by the Japanese, a Nazi-controlled section, and a buffer zone between the two. Despite the oppression, a new hope emerges when films turn up that seem to show a different world. A woman believes the films contain the key to freedom and is determined to find their mysterious guardian.

Premiering in January 2015, the pilot was Amazon's "most-watched since the original series development program began". The next month, Amazon ordered episodes to fill out a ten-episode season, which was released in November to positive reviews. A second season of ten episodes premiered in December 2016, with a third season announced a few weeks later, to be released on October 5, 2018. On July 21, 2018, it was announced at San Diego Comic-Con that the series had been renewed for a fourth season.

The story line is incredible. It brings to light just what it might have been like if the Nazis and Japanese defeated the US in WWII. It makes you appreciate and think differently about what "FREEDOM” really means." Of course this is a fictional TV-show, but it will drag you in and you’ll be doing all you can to binge through the seasons.

It is high budget, story and visually driven, combining visuals that rival those of modern films, and a plot that will keep you coming back for more.

Can’t wait for Season 3 to begin on October 5th.

The crafty addition of minor sci-fi elements and a terrific William Forsythe to the show's already engrossing narrative make The Man in the High Castle's third season another worthy binge. .

I totally enjoyed this season and on the whole, this was my favorite of the three. The storylines had more momentum, the characterizations were improved, and the increasingly prominent science fiction elements were handled well.

Season 3 was released on October 5, 2018. and on July 21, 2018, it was announced at San Diego Comic-Con that the series had been renewed for a fourth season, however, an exact release date has not been confirmed. The Man in the High Castle season four is expected sometime in 2019.
