It's been 40 years since Laurie Strode survived a vicious attack from crazed killer Michael Myers on Halloween night. Locked up in an institution, Myers manages to escape when his bus transfer goes horribly wrong. Laurie now faces a terrifying showdown when the masked madman returns to Haddonfield, Ill. -- but this time, she's ready for him.

Halloween is a 2018 American slasher film directed and written by David Gordon Green, Jeff Fradley, and Danny McBride. It is the eleventh installment in the Halloween film series, and a direct sequel to the 1978 film of the same name, while retconning the continuity of the previous sequels.

After failing to develop a new Halloween film in time, Dimension Films lost the production rights, which reverted back to Miramax, and obtained with Blumhouse Productions. In May 2016 a new installment was officially announced, with original co-creator John Carpenter's involvement as a composer, executive producer, and creative consultant. Principal photography commenced on January 13, 2018 in South Carolina, and concluded on February 19.

Halloween premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8, 2018 and was released in the United States on October 19, 2018, by Universal Pictures. The film received generally positive reviews from critics, with many considering it to be both the best Halloween sequel and a return to form for the series, and with Curtis's performance being praised. The film has grossed more than $91 million, making it the highest grossing film in the franchise.

As a big fan of the Halloween franchise this movie did not let me down. I was worried it would be another "Resurrection" where it's nothing new and only reusing the same scenes from the original. But DAMN this movie great! This movie does everything right and includes almost everything a fan loved about the original. The atmosphere also feels like Halloween, also a good modern but vintage vibe.

I recommend this for any Halloween fan, Michael Myers is back and ready to stalk his prey!!
