Masters of the Air

This has to be the absolute BEST military Air War film produced. Its a 9 episode series that will take you through the B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bomber flights that literally riddled Germany from the air in support of winning WWII.

Flight scenes were filmed in replica B-17s using technology known as The Volume. The B-17s were suspended 50 ft in the air on a gimbal inside a 360-degree stage of seamless LED panel screens and ceiling. Actors could therefore react to flak explosions, crashes and planes flying in real time as the gimbal simultaneously reacted to scenarios.

You know you’re in for a great experience when Spielberg's and Hanks's respective companies are the producers for a movie/mini-series. When I read about this and saw they were involved I was all in to watch.

No regrets in any way, shape or form - it is simply an amazing mini-series.

From the git-go after watching the trailer, I couldn’t wait for it to start.

Now that I’ve watched all 9 episodes it definitely lives up to all the hype. The way this series shows all the struggles and humanity of war is brilliant.

Cast is amazing and one that you can definately enjoy watching. They do a great job pulling you into their world and make you really care for these characters.

If you have AppleTV+ and enjoy war movies - don’t miss this series, its another quality product!
