Voyagers is a 2021 American science fiction film written and directed by Neil Burger. The film was theatrically released on April 9, 2021 by Lionsgate. With ratings like these you can surmise that this is not going to be a good film. However I put in the time and watched it and was not as disappointed as some may think.
The film has a good concept and it goes through interesting paths throughout the film as it is a slow-burner film packed with multiple sequences, themes of love, friendship, and betrayal. The film itself is definitely unique including a stylish production design.
The character development featured in the film is interesting to say the least (definitely a sign of the times). The film's score blends in well with the theme of the film.
If you’re looking for something with a different concept, one that brings about the possibilities for our future….give it a try. I would rate this a 6/10!
